Critically acclaimed filmmaker Govind Nihalani remembered legendary cinematographer V K Murthy at IFFI here and said cult films like 'Pyaasa' and 'Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam' were result of his brilliant vision.

Best known for his work in Chaudvin ka Chand and Pakeezah, V K Murthy has been chosen for the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for the year 2008. Incidentally, Dada Saheb Phalke himself was a cinematographer.

MUMBAI: The fourth MAMI International Film Festival, initially slated to conclude tomorrow, has been extended by one day, according to the organisers.
