Unforgettable evening in Mumbai

It was a ceremony to felicitate VK Murthy but the veteran cinematographer could not make it to the do as he had been ailing for a while.
He was honoured on-line and thanked the film industry for doing the same. Speaking on the occasion, Asha Parekh, who’s worked with Murthy in three films including Love in Tokyo and Ziddi, acknowledged Murthy’s contribtion in making her look so beautiful.There were a number of other veteran cinematographers there as well, who were felicitated for their contribution to the Hindi film industry.
Peter Pereira, Ram Madkaikar, Anil Mitra, SL Sharma, Capt Purush Baokar, SM Anwar, Allam Ram Mohan, SA Sayyad, Pravin Bhatt and Ishwar Bidri were some of the people who were honoured. It was also an occasion for a number of yesteryear bigwigs to catch up with each other. While Asrani was seen having a conversation with Bhanu Athaiya, Subhash Ghai joined Asha for a chat. KK Raina, Ashok Mehta and Rajan Kothari were some of the other guests who were also present for the occasion. All in all, an unforgettable evening for all those who attended the do.
