Legendary filmmaker and actor Sushil Majumdar left an indelible mark in Indian cinema with cult classics like ‘Lal Patthar’, ‘Hospital’, ‘Jogajog’, ‘Rikta’, and ‘Bhanga Gara’ to name a few in a career spanning more than 50 years. Now, a documentary has been made on the legendary filmmaker titled ‘Sushil Majumdar-The Doyen’s Journey through Time’. The docu film, directed by Indranil Sarkar, highlights the man beyond his filmmaking career, the director and the legacy Sushil Majumdar left behind.

Along with Debaki Kumar Bose and Pramathesh Barua, Sushil Majumdar is part of the triumvirate of legendary filmmakers who flourished during the golden era — late 1920s to 1980s.
