Ajoy Kar's classic Bengali film, Saat Pake Badha, is set for a historic screening at the 48th Moscow International Film Festival. The restored 1963 film, which previously earned Suchitra Sen an international acting award, will be shown in the Out-of-Competition section. This marks a significant return for the cinematic milestone, celebrated for its compelling narrative and enduring relevance.

Sekhar Bansal, the nephew of film producer Late R D Bansal has gone missing on Wednesday morning from his Moore Avenue home in south Kolkata.

The screenplay of Satyajit Ray's iconic film 'Nayak' was also written by Ray himself, and the film was bankrolled by RD Bansal. But there has been a debate over who has the actual right to the script. Recently a production house went to the Delhi High Court and in May 2023, Delhi Court’s Single Bench gave the verdict that the right belongs to solely Satyajit Ray. Now, the Division Bench of Delhi High Court has also confirmed this verdict.
