Economic offences court judge R Sudhakar Naidu on Tuesday granted the CBI custody of Vijay Sai Reddy for seven more days. Vijay Sai is the second accused in the Y S Jaganmohan Reddy assets case.

V Vijay Sai Reddy, an accused in the Jagan assets case was brought back to the Chanchalguda jail on Wednesday at 6.15 pm after the Supreme Court cancelled his bail.

Effecting the first arrest in the alleged illegal assets case pertaining to YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy, the CBI on Monday took into its custody Vijay Sai Reddy, the financial advisor of Jagathi Publications and other companies owned by the son of YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

The CBI on Monday filed a supplementary to the second chargesheet in the Jagan assets case explaining how then chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy played an instrumental role in strengthening the appointment of V Vijay Sai Reddy, the auditor of the Jagan firms, as a director of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC).

CBI Court Sends Vijay to 14-Day Judicial Custody

Justice GV Seetapathy of the high court on Friday issued notices to the CBI and the central vigilance commission (CVC) seeking within two weeks their responses to a petition filed by V Vijay Sai Reddy.

The CBI on Friday revealed that V Vijay Sai Reddy, the financial advisor for Jagan companies, has disclosed the code to certain key financial transactions done by industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad (Matrix Prasad), Mauritius-based Pluri Investments and 2-I Capital companies as well as Jagan’s own Sandur power company.

V Vijay Sai Reddy, the financial auditor for Y S Jaganmohan Reddy group of companies, filed a petition in the AP high court and urged it to declare CBI’s plan to file multiple chargesheets in Jagan’s assets case as illegal. Vijay Sai is accused No. 2 in the case and was earlier arrested by CBI.

The CBI that is investigating the Jagan assets case said in the Supreme Court that dubious entities in foreign shores like Luxembourg were used to pump crores of rupees into Jagan firms and described the whole activity as economic terrorism.
