HYDERABAD: The CBI court on Friday reserved its orders to January 23 on the plea of V Vijay Sai Reddy for access to a laptop in the jail. He has been in jail as an accused in the assets case against Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Vijay Sai says it is essential for him to assist Jagan in auditing of his companies and defending him in several cases launched by CBI and Enforcement Directorate.

"Laptop is enough. I don't need internet facility," Vijay Sai said in his petition.
CBI senior counsel B Ravindranath Reddy opposed the idea of providing laptop to the accused as a small wireless internet device could be hidden in it, which would be difficult even for the jail authorities to detect.
The accused in the Satyam scam were provided such a facility only after filing of a chargesheet and the current case was at the 'threshold' stage, he said.
"We cannot give laptop but we do not have any objection to providing a typewriter and white paper to Vijay Sai Reddy," the CBI counsel said.
"He is looking hale and healthy and he can write on paper and give the same to his lawyers," the CBI counsel said.
