Canon partners Wavesight to distribute HawkEye body-worn cameras in India
Canon India has entered into a partnership with Wavesight to exclusively distribute HawkEye body-worn cameras in India. This move is helping the company expand its footprint in real-time surveillance and field-ready monitoring solutions. The partnership will bring connected body-worn systems to sectors such as law enforcement, defence, paramilitary forces, and enterprises. These devices are designed to support live video streaming, communication, and digital evidence management during on-ground operations.

How Canon and Wavesight’s cameras will work: Features and more

The HawkEye cameras will be deployed across use cases, including police patrols, traffic enforcement, crowd management, border security, and industrial safety monitoring. They are also intended for emergency services such as fire and rescue teams and ambulance operations.The HawkEye includes features such as HD recording, GPS tracking, 4G/5G live streaming, and push-to-talk. It also offers encrypted storage and cloud-based evidence management for searchable archives and compliance workflows.Canon India will be responsible for the deployment, integration, training and after-sales support through its national network.
The companies said the collaboration aims to support organisations requiring continuous monitoring and coordination in field environments.Wavesight MD David Saldanha said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Canon India to advance body-worn camera adoption in India.
