Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa laid to rest

Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5 after suffering from a cardiac arrest. Puratchi Thalaivi Amma was laid to rest at Chennai's Marina beach, next to her mentor MGR.

Home minister Rajnath Singh tonight spoke to Tamil Nadu governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and enquired about the health of chief minister J Jayalalithaa, who suffered a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai.
