A senior PoK official has confirmed that the Pakistani army was caught unawares and lost five soldiers during India's surgical strike

Army foiled three infiltration bids assisted by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir last night.

Some militants on Thursday morning attacked an Army camp in Langate, north Kashmir's Kupwara district, prompting security forces to retaliate.

The Pakistan Army on Wednesday again resorted to heavy shelling at Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir. Police said the Pakistan Army used mortars and automatics to target Indian positions in Kalsian area of Nowshera sector of the district

In a move targeted at India, Pakistan is closing airspace over Karachi and Lahore citing "operational reasons".

The prime minister was briefed about the situation on the LoC and the International Border in the wake of the surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the LoC.

In the first conversation between National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval+ and his Pakistani counterpart Nasir Khan Janjua since the Uri strike, India gave Pakistan details of the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army last week.

India’s armed forces have given the green signal to the government to use the video footage of the surgical strikes against terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in any manner it sees fit to make New Delhi’s case.
