The repercussions hurled the Montreal Canadiens prospect to the ground and entangled Beck Malenstyn in the collision. To finish off the sequence, Malenstyn's exposed hand was hit by Demidov's skate as his teammate faded backward out of the way.
As Beck Malenstyn ran to the Buffalo bench, the trainers jumped in to cover the blood on the ice.
