Court filings claim the two first connected through LinkedIn before meeting several times in Manhattan.According to investigators, the relationship changed dramatically after their encounter. Prosecutors say Luo later threatened to release intimate photos and videos involving Edens unless he agreed to massive financial demands. Authorities claim the threats expanded over time and included contacting members of his family, reaching out to his former wife, and warning that she would damage his business reputation with investors.A spokesperson for Edens confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that the unnamed “Victim-1” referenced in court records was indeed the Bucks co-owner.“Mr. Edens will be making no comment on the case as the indictment speaks for itself with respect to the charges against the defendant," the spokesperson said.The spokesperson also noted that Edens is expected to testify during the upcoming trial.Prosecutors say the controversy escalated after Luo accused Edens of misconduct and claimed cameras inside her apartment had recorded everything that happened between them.
