Mitch Evans registered his 15th Formula E race victory in Miami this year, all while remaining loyal to just one team, Jaguar TCS Racing. He also passed the 1,000-point career mark with his record win. Former F1 driver Mark Webber congratulated the Kiwi on his special achievement, praising him for winning across all generations of cars. Evans thanked him for his kind comments.

A video of Mark Webber’s message for Mitch Evans was shared by Formula E on its official Instagram page. In a recorded message, Webber said, “Mitch, congratulations mate, record number of wins in Formula E, real credit to you. 15, so top of the pops there mate, all with the same brand, so yeah Jaguar, incredible loyalty there and also showing you can win across all generations of cars, so congratulations mate, super proud of you.Responding to Webber’s message, Mitch Evans said, “Yeah, Mark's been there since 2011. He's given me the opportunity to come over to Europe and compete in Formula E, and he's been by my side throughout this journey. It's really, really special, so it's not just me that I feel like I'm representing, it's the people who have supported me along the way. Mark and his wife Anne have been a huge, huge part of that.”
Reacting to the video on Instagram, a fan wrote: “The fact that 15 wins is the most wins shows how insanely competitive this series is, so fun to watch.” Another commented: “And this season you have a top racing mate to keep pushing you so that you both can be at the top spot for sure, am I right @afelixdacosta?” One more said: “Absolutely incredible! This was the sweetest!”

Where does Mitch Evans stand after his Miami victory?

Mitch Evans won his first race of the season in Miami. Speaking after the Round 3 victory, Evans said, “It’s special to have this record for the most wins.
I’m still missing the big one, the championship, but these stats are great. It’s a huge testament to the team. Hopefully this is a good restart to our season and we can continue from 15 wins.”The 31-year-old went on to secure another podium in Round 4 in Jeddah by finishing third. He is now fifth in the Formula E Drivers’ Standings with 47 points.He now has a month-long break before Formula E resumes at the inaugural Madrid E-Prix.
