Summit calls for people-led economic revival in Bihar
Patna: The Let’s Inspire Bihar movement organised Bihar Development Summit 2026 in New Delhi on Sunday to advance a strategic roadmap for the state’s economic transformation by 2047, which is aligned with the vision of building a Viksit Bihar.Union minister of textiles Giriraj Singh inaugurated the programme. Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha and industries and road construction minister Dilip Jaiswal were also present on this occasion.

Led by Vikas Vaibhav, IPS, chief patron of Let’s Inspire Bihar, the summit recorded over 5,000 registrations and a large gathering.In his address, Vaibhav emphasised that Bihar’s historical contributions to science and democracy necessitate a modern restoration of its identity. He reiterated that no outsider will transform Bihar; its people must assume responsibility. The goal, he stated, is to build a Bihar where no one is forced to leave the state for health, education, or employment.Addressing the gathering Giriraj said Bihar’s development is essential for national progress, highlighting textiles and MSMEs as drivers of rural employment.Dy CM said transparency in governance and systematic resolution of land disputes are foundational prerequisites for industrial investment and social harmony. Minister Jaiswal said road infrastructure and investor-friendly policies are critical to reversing migration.The summit saw participation from public representatives, including Khagaria MP Rajesh Verma, former Jehanabad MP Arun Kumar, and several legislators such as Mithilesh Tiwari and Sacchidananda Rai, among others.
