Mitch Evans won the last race in Miami and followed it with a second consecutive podium in Jeddah. The Jaguar TCS Racing driver finished third in the Round 4 race at the Jeddah E-Prix on Friday. He had started tenth on the grid, and it took a great deal of skill to move up the field, thanks to the right Pit Boost and Attack Mode strategy during the race. He finished behind Pascal Wehrlein, who took the win, and polesitter Edoardo Mortara.

Mitch Evans shared a few podium pictures from the celebrations along with a candid one from his post-race meal on Instagram and simply wrote: “3rd today. Solid one.” The last picture showed him enjoying a burger while sitting alongside his trophy.Those who activated Attack Mode late seemed best placed as the race reached its climax. Evans sliced his way through the top 10 to finish third at the checkered flag.

Sharing his feelings after his podium at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on Friday, Mitch Evans said in a statement, “I’m massively happy. Pit Boost last year wasn’t really my thing, so I’ve put a massive focus on trying to make things better this year. It was all about strategy today, and the pace was extremely fast from quite early on, so car balance was critical.
I had good energy management throughout that first phase of the race, which allowed me to attack quite hard after the pit stop and pull off some good moves.Further talking about tough competition on the track, he added, “Racing against drivers like Jake [Dennis], you can put some faith in him, but it was tight—he was closer than I thought! It was really well executed, with great comms during the race and a bit of management toward the end with some temperatures, but overall I’m very happy to get a third after my win last time out. We’re in good shape for tomorrow, and we’ll try to build from here.The Jeddah doubleheader is the first night race of Formula E Season 12. Part 2 of the Jeddah E-Prix is scheduled for Saturday, with the final race starting under the lights at 8:05 p.m. local time (10:35 p.m. IST).On Sunday, there is also a special Formula E Evo Session scheduled in Jeddah.
