UKNA militant arrested in Churachandpur

Churachandpur: Security personnel of the 19 Garhwal Rifles apprehended a militant from the United Kuki National Army from Jolzam village in Churachandpur on Sunday.Self styled second lieutenant Thangminlun Haokip, also known as Philip, was caught by the security forces along with an AK-47 rifle, a magazine and a mobile phone, before being handed over to Churachandpur police station at 3am.Police have registered a case against Haokip under Sections 310(6)/3(5) of the BNS and Section 25(1-c) of the Arms Act.
