Purnima is one of the most auspicious days in Hindu religion. The day holds a great religious and spiritual significance. In the Hindu calendar, the full moon is considered highly revered and fortunate. The full moon or Purnima tithi that falls every month is regarded a day that brings good fortune and prosperity in life. When this full moon falls in the month of Margashirsha, it is known as Margashirsha Purnima. This Purnima is believed to bring happiness prosperity, good luck and positive energy. On this day, devotees observer fast and worship Lord Vishnu in the form of Satyanarayan Bhagwan. Devotees also worship Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and the Moon God on this sacred day. According to Hindu Panchang, Margarshirsha Purnima will be observed on December 4, 2025.

Purnima is one of the most powerful day when you worship Lord Vishnu and Moon God. The day is also considered extremely auspicious to perform puja to Goddess Lakshmi and Satyanarayan Bhagwan. Devotees observe fast from dawn to dusk and perform satyanayan puja by reciting vrat katha in the evening and offering bhog prasad to Lord Satyanarayan. This day is believed to bring good fortune and positive energy in life. It is also believed that on this sacred powerful night, the Moon shines in all 16 phases on this day and attract good fortune and peace in the life of devotees. This night is considered to be the most potent night, when you can manifest all your desires as the divine rays of the Moon falls on earth.
Take Bath: You should take bath in the morning and cleanse yourself first.
Clean home: You are advised to clean your home and puja room.
Sankalp: Take a sankalp of observing satyanarayan vrat.
Observe fast: Devotees should observe fast from dawn to dusk dedicated to Lord Satyanarayan.
Worship: You should take a wooden plank and place the idol of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi and offer prayers.
Light a diya: Light a diya with desi ghee, light incense sticks to worship Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi Mata.
Offer prasad: Devotees prepare bhog prasad such as panchamrit and panjeeri and offer it to them to seek blessings.
Worship Moon God: You should worship Moon God by offering water adding flowers, sweets and panchamrit in that.
