Before beginning the puja rites, get up early and take a holy bath. They ought to wear beautiful, clean clothes and tidy their home. They install an idol of Lord Vishnu on a wooden plank. After lighting a diya with desi ghee and chanting mantras to summon the idol, present him some Tulsi Patra, which Lord Vishnu holds in high regard. Chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra 108 times and recite Vishnu Sahasranama. Make sacrifices to Lord Vishnu, such as Panchamrit, and ask for his blessings.
