ZTE Blade A2 smartphone with metal body, fingerprint sensor launched

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has announced its latest budget handset. Dubbed as Blade A2, the smartphone flaunts a metal body and is priced at $106. It will go on sale in China from June 15. However, there are no details regarding the device’s global roll out.
On the specifications front, the ZTE Blade A2 features a 5-inch 2.5D curved HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
ZTE Blade A2 sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. The device also incorporates a fingerprint sensor and offers hybrid dual sim support. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone houses a 2,500 mAh battery.
Recently, ZTE launched its high-end Axon 7 smartphone in China. The ZTE Axon 7 has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1440x2560 pixel resolution. Powering the device is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. It offers 64GB/128GB of internal storage, further expandable using microSD cards of up to 128GB in size.
The smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and sports a 20MP rear camera with dual LED flash, along with an 8MP front snapper for selfies. It also has a fingerprint sensor and dual speakers powered by Dolby Atmos. The device houses a 3,250 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology.
