Shinzo Abe death live updates: Shinzo Abe's body arrives in Tokyo, funeral on Tuesday
The body of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe arrived at his home city, Tokyo, on Saturday, a day after he was fatally assassinated during a campaign speech in the western Japan city of Nara. European Council president Charles Michel said on Friday he was "shocked and saddened by (the) cowardly attack" on Japan's former prime minister Shinzo Abe.
While the world is in disbelief over the shock shooting of former Japan prime minister Shinzo Abe, some Chinese nationalists appear to be celebrating the assassination bid on Abe and have termed the attacker as a 'hero'. Soon after Abe was shot during his campaign speech in western Japan, Chinese nationalists on Weibo started sending him death wishes.
