Rajasthan Exit Polls 2023 Live Updates: Congress & BJP intensify backchannel talks to win over Independents, rebels

The polling for 199 out of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan concluded in a single phase on November 25. Now all are waiting for December 3 when votes would be counted. Among these, 25 seats are reserved for the Scheduled Caste, 34 for the Scheduled Tribe, and 141 for the General category. Approximately 5.3 crore people were eligible to vote. Rajasthan saw a total voter turnout of 75%. Majority of the polling process went smoothly except for a few incidents of fighting or violence. Rajasthan has seen a switch between Congress and BJP since 1998 as both parties remain confident in their win with Congress’ Ashok Gehlot confident in his power and his 'seven guarantees' while BJP depends on PM Narendra Modi and his guarantees to gain the trust of the voters.In the Rajasthan assembly elections, Sardarpura, Tonk, Jhalarapatan, Nathdwara, Jhunjhunu, Jhotwara, Kota North, and Churu are seen as pivotal battlegrounds, serving as focal points for intense political maneuvering and strategic contests, with Sardarpura associated with CM Ashok Gehlot.
