Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Mrs Netanyahu, hosted Prime Minister Modi for a private dinner at their residence Beit Aghion in Jerusalem on Tuesday. Prime Minister Modi was at the Beit Aghion for three hours, as the entire Netanyahu family greeted and met him with utmost warmth. The interaction went on until almost midnight (02:30am IST). Prime Minister Netanyahu gifted Prime Minister Modi a painting that depicts Indian soldiers leading a British military column accompanying General Allenby.

With PM Narendra Modi arriving to a warm welcome in Israel, his host PM Benjamin Netanyahu will attend a community event in Tel Aviv on Wednesday evening where Modi will address Jews of Indian origin.

Netanyahu has accepted an invitation to attend the community event expected to see around 4000 people turn up to listen to Modi, said sources. The meeting has generated considerable interest in the Indian origin community with Modi being the first Indian PM to travel to Israel.

Netanyahu, known for his flamboyant political style, is also expected to address the gathering.
