Kaliabor is a general assembly seat located in the Nagaon district of Assam. Following the 2023 delimitation exercise, it is now designated is part of the Kaziranga Parliamentary constituency. It was previously under the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat, which has since been redrawn.
In the 2026 Assembly elections, incumbent Keshab Mahanta of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), representing the NDA alliance, won with a margin of 17,890 votes against independent candidate Jiten Gour. Polling for this seat was held on April 9, 2026.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,47,083 registered voters, with 1,24,746 valid votes cast.
Keshab Mahanta (AGP) won the seat with 73,677 votes. Congress candidate Prasanta Kumar Saikia finished second with 44,957 votes, losing by a margin of 28,720 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Kaliabor had 1,21,467 electors, with 1,04,407 valid votes recorded. Keshab Mahanta (AGP) won the seat with 64,759 votes, defeating Congress candidate Bindu Ganju, who secured 26,769 votes. The victory margin was 37,990 votes.
According to the final electoral roll for the 2026 elections, Kaliabor has 1,88,982 eligible voters, an increase from 1,83,992 in 2024. The 2023 delimitation exercise significantly expanded the voter base by adding 41,541 voters to the 2021 tally, primarily through the inclusion of several new villages into the constituency boundaries.
