Farmers protesting at the Ghazipur border have refused to move, despite appeals from the UP administration. On Friday afternoon, clashes broke out between protesters and a group of locals at Singhu border, forcing police to use tear gas to control the situation. Stay with TOI for latest updates:

Going after the leaders of the farmer unions for the violence in the city on Republic Day, Delhi Police has got lookout circulars (LOCs) issued against 44 people to prevent them from leaving the country. The immigration authorities have been requested to "detain and hand over to police" the people on the list, including Darshan Pal Singh, Satnam Singh Pannu, Boota Singh Burjgil, Joginder Singh Ugraha, Rakesh Tikait, Rishipal Ambawata, Balbir Singh Rajewal and VM Singh.

Farmers move towards Singhu border from Burari ground, reports ANI
Around 30 farmers from DDA Ground in Burari have moved towards the Singhu border and around 15 have been detained for their possible involvement in violence on January 26 and for violating laws, Delhi Police said on Thursday. The Burari ground is being cleared, the police said.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha on Thursday said it will not be intimidated by the notices sent to its leaders by Delhi Police and alleged that the government is trying to put an end to the farmers' movement against agri laws by blaming it for the violence during the January 26 tractor rally.
