Erode (West) election results 2026: TVK's Ananth Moghan defeats DMK candidate S Muthusamy

Erode (West) Assembly constituency is located in Erode district of Tamil Nadu and forms part of the Erode Lok Sabha constituency. In 2026 assembly elections, Ananth Moghan KK of TVK emerged as the winner with 96,836. S Muthusamy of DMK stood second in the race, securing 74,586 votes.The seat represents an important urban and commercial segment of the district and has typically witnessed electoral contests between the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), with the Indian National Congress (INC) occasionally emerging as a challenger through alliance politics.In the 2016 Assembly elections, the constituency had 2,56,208 electors, with 1,89,367 valid votes polled.
