Kaustuv Bagchi of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the Barrackpur Assembly Constituency No. 108, defeating Raj Chakraborty (Raju) of the All India Trinamool Congress.Barrackpur recorded a three-way contest with Raju Chakrabarty representing TMC, Koustav Bagchi for BJP, and Sambhu Das for Congress in the constituency.Barrackpur is an assembly seat in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal (No. 108). It forms part of the Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency and covers Barrackpur Municipality along with Titagarh Municipality. This urban constituency features historic military cantonments, industrial areas, and dense residential zones near Kolkata, with around 168,641 electors. Voter turnout typically exceeds 75-80per cent.

In the 2021 election, Raj Chakraborty of All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) won with 68,887 votes (46per cent share), defeating BJP's Dr. Chandramani Shukla (59,665 votes, 40per cent) by 9,222 votes. CPI(M)'s Debasish Bhowmick received 16,145 votes (11per cent), NOTA 1,930 votes (1per cent), and BSP's Tapash Sarkar 970 votes (1per cent). Turnout was 68.49per cent, TMC reclaimed the seat from BJP's 2016 hold (Sudip Tewari), reflecting tight urban competition.
