In this competitive age, are Gujarat board textbooks failing kids?

Gujarat Council for Educational Research and Training  textbooks not only abound in factual flaws and syntactical glitches, but also reflect a medieval mindset. They ignore the place of women in a changing world. Indeed, their illustrations even reveal gender bias, besides regional  stereotyping.

As per the syllabus , books with prescribed authors should be checked and then recommended.

There is nothing surprising about the factual flaws and mistakes in the text books of Gujarat. It is a known fact that the leader of the Government has scant respect for facts. He invents them according to his convenience. So the authors are only following the leader. And who cares for the kids?
