NEET 2022 LIVE Updates: How to calculate NEET percentile, Merit List, NEET Qualifying Criteria and more

Allowed: Simple trousers, pants, half sleeve T-shirts or shirts, sandals and slippers (chappals) with thin soles.

Not Allowed: Clothes having elaborated embroidery, big pockets and zip pockets, big buttons, kurta pyjamas and shoes.

All the candidates, who are going to appear for NEET 2022 examination today are advised to reach their respective NEET exam centres on time in order to avoid any last minute hassle or hurry. Candidates must have already decided that how they are going to travel to the exam centre and hence, they can track the routes and how to reach their avoiding the traffic.

You should download your admit card and keep at least two copies with you. The Admit Card consists of four pages -

Page 1: Contains the Centre details and self-declaration (undertaking) form regarding Covid-19

Page 2: It has Postcard Size Photograph

Page 3: It has Important Instructions for Candidates and

Page 4: It has an Advisory for candidates regarding Covid-19.

Candidates are required to download and carefully read all these pages and strictly adhere to them.

Candidates need to attempt any 10 questions out of 15 questions given. In the event of a candidate having attempted more than 10 questions, only the first 10 attempted questions will be considered for evaluation. There will also be negative marking for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:


i) Correct answer: Four Marks (+4)

ii) Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)

iii) Unanswered/ Marked for Review: No mark (0)

iv) if more than one option is found to be correct then Four Marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.

v) If all options are found to be correct then Four Marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

vi) If a question is found to be incorrect or the question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.

vii) Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions.

To answer a question, the candidates need to choose one option corresponding to the correct answer or the most appropriate answer. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:

i) Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four Marks (+4)
ii) Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1)
iii) Unanswered/ Marked for Review will be given no mark (0)
iv) if more than one option is found to be correct then Four Marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
v) If all options are found to be correct then Four Marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
vi) If none of the options is found correct or a Question is found to be wrong or a Question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

Candidates are advised to read all 15 questions in each subject of Section-B before they start attempting them. In the event of a candidate attempting more than ten questions, the first ten questions answered by the candidate shall be evaluated.

A record 18.72 lakh candidates, including 10.64 lakh women, will appear at the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2022) to be conducted on Sunday. The entrance test for admission to MBBS, BDS and allied programmes recorded an increase of 2.57 lakh aspirants this year as compared to 2021. There is a 274.3% increase in the number of candidates taking the exam in 12 Indian languages, with Tamil registering a 60% increase.

The largest number of registrations have been received from Maharashtra - 2.5 lakh
followed by UP -- 2.1 lakh
Karnataka -- 1.3 lakh
Kerala -- 1.2 lakh
Rajasthan -- 1.4 lakh
Tamil Nadu -- 1.4 lakh

Nearly 55% of the total candidates have registered from these six states. If the three states — Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal — with over 90,000 registrations each are accounted for, 70% of the candidates are from nine states. The three most opted cities by the candidates are Kota (37,774), Patna (36,114) and Jaipur (34,090).

NEET-UG is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) and BSc (Honours) in nursing courses of various medical colleges, which include premier medical colleges like AIIMS and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry.

The NEET (UG) - 2022 examination will be conducted today from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM in pen and paper mode.
