‘Kohrra’ actress Neeru Sehgal shares experience working with Mahesh Babu; calls him, ‘so humble, warm, and incredibly professional’

Actor and model Neeru Sehgal is basking in the success of the web series ‘Kohrra’ season 2. Having worked with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu in an ad in the past, she recently shared her desire to be a part of South Indian cinema.While speaking with Hindustan Times, Neeru Sehgal shared her interest in working in South Indian films. She mentioned she wants to be part of good stories and portray strong roles. “If the right story and role come along, absolutely,” she says. She wants to choose roles that feel real and full of emotion. In 2024, she also worked in an ad with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and recalled the experience working with the ‘Varanasi’ star. “He’s such a huge superstar, yet so humble, warm, and incredibly professional on set, which made the whole shoot very comfortable and inspiring for me. It was a great learning experience just observing his focus and discipline,” she said. The year 2026 has started in a special way for her, as she mentions and she has all the gratitude. “It feels like a moment of gratitude and quiet excitement more than anything else,” she says. She also shares, “As actors, we pour so much of ourselves into a project. So seeing it finally reach people is fulfilling.”Speaking about Neeru Sehgal, she grew up in the US, but stayed close to her Punjabi roots. She says her culture is very important to her and her family. It also helps her in her acting. She was once a pageant queen before becoming an actor.Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is currently working on his upcoming globetrotter film ‘Varanasi’ directed by SS Rajamouli. The movie features global icon Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is set to release on April 7, 2027.
