‘Dacoit’ star Adivi Sesh signs two romantic dramas; actor explores a new emotional phase

Adivi Sesh is currently basking in the success of his latest release, ‘Dacoit’ starring alongside Mrunal Thakur. Now, the recent reports suggest he is ready for something new after the love-revenge action thriller. It is said that the ‘Major’ actor has two upcoming romantic dramas.According to a report by IANS, Adivi Sesh has now signed two romantic drama films. One of them will be directed by Sai Marthand, who had success with his first film ‘Little Hearts’. Sesh said both scripts felt special to him. He shared, “These two scripts really stood out to me because they approach love and relationships in very different ways.” He also said these are not just love stories but stories about people and life.

He also opened up about why he is choosing romance now. He said, “Over the last few years, I have explored intense, high-stakes narratives, and I’m grateful for how strongly they’ve connected.” But now, he feels something different inside. He said, “I’ve been feeling a strong pull towards stories that are more intimate and emotionally driven.” He also added, “Romance, when done right, can be incredibly powerful and deeply relatable.
Even though he is doing romantic films, Sesh is not leaving action behind. He will soon be seen in the upcoming spy action thriller ‘G2’, which sequel to his high-octane movie ‘Goodachari’. He said, “I don’t see it as a shift away from action, but rather an expansion of what I want to do.” He wants to show different sides as an actor. He said these films will help him explore feelings like love, pain, and choices in life.

About ‘Dacoit’

Speaking of ‘Daciot’, it went on to make over Rs 50-55 crore globally during its theatrical run. The film involves Mrunal Thakur as Juliet, who seems to betray Adivi Sesh’s character Hari, which results in him being sent to prison. Later, Hari escapes jail to confront her. The movie also features Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj and others in key roles.After its theatrical release, it is now set to hit the OTT space on May 8 on Netflix.
