Baahubali' franchise, has been dealing with a personal tragedy that has remained largely private. His wife, Maheswari, has been in a coma for the past four years, a heartbreaking situation recently shared by their daughter, Divya Sathyaraj, on social media.
Divya explained that her mother suffered a brain hemorrhage, and although doctors had given up hope on her recovery, the family continues to hold on to optimism. She praised her father for being a devoted single parent during this difficult time. She wrote, "This is an appreciation post for all single parents."
She also added, "We were totally shattered, but we will wait for a medical breakthrough with hope and positivity. We know we will get Amma back. Appa has been a great single parent for 4 years. Appa's mom passed away a few years ago, and I have also been a single mom to my appa. Appa and I form a powerful single moms club."
She spoke about how precious single parents are and gave voice to all the struggles that they have been encountering since Maheswari's condition started.
She also revealed that her mother requires feeding through a PEG tube and that they remain hopeful for a medical breakthrough that could bring her back to them.
