Veteran Tamil filmmaker Bharathiraja was admitted to the MGM Healthcare in Chennai due to breathing issues on December 27th. Recently, the hospital released an official medical bulletin regarding Bharathiraja’s present condition. According to this bulletin, Bharathiraja is currently stable and making good progress toward recovery. Find out what the note reads.
Doctors say his condition is stable
In the medical bulletin released by MGM Healthcare on Saturday, the doctors stated that Bharathiraja's present medical condition is stable and he is receiving the needed medical treatment. They also stated that Bharathiraja is currently in a state of monitoring and continues to be closely monitored by staff at MGM Healthcare.

“Mr. Bharathiraja, renowned movie director, is presently admitted at MGM HEALTHCARE, Aminjikarai following complaints of breathlessness. He is receiving appropriate medical care in the Intensive Care unit. His clinical condition is stable and he continues to be under close monitoring by our team of medical experts. With appropriate supports, his vital parameters remain within normal limits. He is responding satisfactorily to the ongoing treatment. Further updates will be communicated as and when necessary,” the note read.
The medical team assured that all required support is being provided. This update has eased the worries of many fans who were concerned after hearing about his hospitalisation.

Earlier this year In March, the legendary filmmaker suffered a huge personal loss after his son Monoj passed away at the age of 48 years.
A legendary career in Tamil cinema
Bharathiraja made his debut directing the film ‘16 Vayathinile’ in 1977. He is known for multiple films, including ‘Kizhake Pogum Rail’, ‘Sigappu Rojakkal’, ‘Alaigal Oivathillai’, ‘Kaadhal Oviyam’, and ‘Mudhal Mariyathai’.
Apart from directing, he also acted in several films. His recent acting appearance was in Mohanlal’s ‘Thudarum’. His last directorial work was a segment in ‘Modern Love Chennai’ titled ‘Paravai Kootil Vaazhum Maangal’.
