Major Ravi informed through a heartbreaking Facebook post. He wrote about losing his younger brother, who was an important part of the Malayalam cinema for many years. He also informed that the funeral will be held at 4pm on Monday at their home premises in Nhangattiri, Pattambi.

Sharing a picture of his brother, his post loosely translated in English read, “My beloved brother, Kannan Pattambi, who worked as a film production controller, passed away last night at 11:41 pm. His funeral will be held today at 4 pm at our home premises in Nhangattiri, Pattambi. My younger brother, Kannan Pattambi, has left for his heavenly abode. Om Shanti.”
