Vidya Malvade, who were part of the much-loved 2007 film, came together to welcome the new year. The two actresses reunited in Jaisalmer and celebrated with their families and close friends.

In November 2025, after India’s historic win at the 2025 Women’s World Cup, many fans started talking about Chak De! India again. People compared Shah Rukh Khan’s reel coach, Kabir Khan, with the real-life coach of the Women in Blue, Amol Muzumdar. Some fans even said this win feels like the perfect script for a sequel.
On Twitter (X), a cricket fan wrote , “Here is the perfect script for a Chak De India sequel: He's Amol Muzumdar, one of the most prolific batters in Indian domestic cricket. On his Ranji Trophy debut for Mumbai in 1994, he scored 260. Nicknamed the ‘New Tendulkar,’ he was touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket.”
The fan further added, “He dominated domestic cricket for 21 years, scoring over 11,000 runs at an average of nearly 50, yet for some reason he never got a single chance to play for India. He retired in 2012 and moved into coaching. In October 2023 he was appointed head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team. He led them to an ICC final after eight years and eventually to their first-ever World Cup title.”
