Anees Bazmee paid Rs 17 crore for Varun Dhawan starrer superhero film: Report

Anees Bazmee is all set to begin shooting for his superhero film with Varun Dhawan next year. The filmmaker has been reportedly paid a massive amount of money for calling the shots for this ambitious film.



Varun will essay the lead role in this film and producers have paid Rs 17 crore to Anees Bazmee to direct this film, reports Bollywood Hungama. If this is true then Anees Bazmee has earned a spot in one of the highest-paid directors of Bollywood.Anees Bazmee is also working with Shahid Kapoor and has been reportedly paid close to Rs 20 crore to direct this venture too. ETimes had exclusively reported that Anees Bazmee was keen to rope in Kartik Aaryan for this film. After the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the filmmaker wanted to collaborate again with Kartik, but the actor wasn’t convinced with the ideas shared by Anees Bazmee. Post which Anees offered the movie to Vicky, who also reportedly turned down the movie and finally it was Varun Dhawan who signed up for the action drama.



Clarifying on the details about the movie, Anees had told ETimes, “It is just an idea, not even a proper idea. I am far from even beginning to write the script. Where is the scope for casting in a film that doesn’t even exist on paper? At the moment there is no 5 or 10 or 15 Minutes Ka Superhero. All these bright young actors, whether it is Varun or Kartik are my friends. We keep meeting socially. People see us together and decide that we are working together. Project bhi banaa dete hain (they even decide on the project). I am actually writing a comedy-action film. It is almost complete. I have not thought of whom I’ll cast in this project. But that’s the only concrete script I have on my hand.”



Apart from this, Varun has Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Bawaal’ with Janhvi Kapoor in the pipeline.
