A special NDPS court grants permission for Rhea Chakraborty and her family to travel abroad

Actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, who has been accused in a drug case following the demise of her former boyfriend actor Sushant Singh Rajput, have been granted permission to travel abroad. On Wednesday, March 6, the Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act court granted the request after Rhea and her family sought permission to travel to Thailand for vacation.Last month, the Bombay High Court quashed the lookout circular against Rhea and her brother in connection with the alleged abetment of suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found hanging at his apartment in suburban Bandra on June 14, 2020.Rhea Chakraborty and her family will be holidaying in Thailand for a few days, after which they will jet off to Sri Lanka, where they will be observing Holi.For the uninformed, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) booked Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik in connection with their alleged involvement with drug suppliers after Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment.Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager, Samuel Miranda, and her friend Dipesh Sawant were arrested in connection with the case. Rhea was arrested in September 2020 in connection with a drug case filed by the CBI and was granted bail in October 2020. She has denied the allegations on several occasions.
