Tiruttani (Assembly Constituency No. 3), located on Tamil Nadu’s northern border with Andhra Pradesh, is a temple-centric, semi-rural seat shaped by the presence of the Thiruthani Murugan Temple. Pilgrimage activity drives its economy alongside dryland agriculture and small-town trade.
The constituency is also the birthplace of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The electorate includes farmers, temple-linked workers, traders, and rural households, with voting influenced by local leadership, caste networks, and welfare delivery.
