Tirupattur election results 2026: TVK’s Dr Thirupathi N wins by 48,263 votes, defeats DMK and AMMK

In Tiruppattur, Dr Thirupathi N of TVK secured a commanding victory, polling 1,05,098 votes. He defeated DMK’s Nallathambi A by a margin of 48,263 votes. AMMK’s Gnanasekar A finished third with 30,003 votes, as the constituency delivered a decisive mandate in favour of TVK.The Tirupattur (Vellore) constituency witnessed a strategic and high-stakes battle in the 2026 Assembly elections, with the DMK re-nominating the incumbent A. Nallathambi, who sought his third consecutive victory. He faced A Gnanasekar AMMK (AIADMK-led alliance, while the entry of Dr N Thirupathi representing the TVK added significant pressure.The 2021 election saw A. Nallathambi (DMK) secured a commanding win with 96,522 votes (52.4% vote share), defeating T. K. Raja (PMK), who polled 68,282 votes. The victory margin was a substantial 28,240 votes. In the 2016 election, A. Nallathambi (DMK) won a tighter race with 80,791 votes, defeating the AIADMK’s T. T. Kumar by 7,647 votes. The voter turnout this year was 88.62%, one of the highest in the northern belt, marking a major increase from the 81.1% recorded in the 2021 elections.Tirupattur (Constituency No. 50), the administrative headquarters of the namesake district, is a historic gateway town nestled at the foothills of the Yelagiri Hills.
