NEW DELHI: S. Vijayakumar of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) won the Gummidipoondi constituency with 94,320 votes, defeating AIADMK candidate V. Sudhakar by a margin of 27,945 votes. Sudhakar secured 66,375 votes. DMK candidate T.J. Govindarajan finished third with 62,492 votes, followed by Naam Tamilar Katchi's R. Sridar with 4,756 votes.
