AGARTALA: To maintain the communicate networks with the central paramilitary force's (CPMF) and police forces, a joint control room has been established which become operational on Wednesday to facilitate uninterrupted security surveillance.Tripura Election 2023 Live UpdatesElection officials said Ham Radio networks are in use where mobile network can't reach to cover the shadow zone polling booths enabled with very high frequency (VHF) networks of Tripura police and Amateur Radio networks (HAM Radio) of Tripura disaster management authority (TDMA).The ham Radio networks mainly to be utilised in Dhalai and South district, officials said adding, ECI adopts a mission of zero poll violence to hold a model election in Tripura.
In Tripura assembly elections 2023, all 3,337 polling stations have more than one polling agent from political parties. This is unprecedented. Polling started in all 60 Assembly constituencies at 7am. EVMs which were not functioning properly were replaced expeditiously by the Engineers. Long queues are seen in all polling stations early in the morning.
