Samaguri is a general category Assembly constituency located in the Nagaon district of Assam. Following the 2023 delimitation, it is now part of the newly named Kaziranga Parliamentary constituency (previously under the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat).
In the 2026 Assembly elections, Tanzil Hussain of Congress beat Anil Saikia of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with a margin of 1,08,310 votes.
Tanzil Hussain is the son of veteran leader Rakibul Hussain, who vacated the seat after being elected to the Lok Sabha. Polling for this seat was held on April 9, 2026.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,65,045 registered voters, with 1,39,647 valid votes cast.
