NEW DELHI: In Assam's Mazbat, BPF's Charan Boro won against Congress's Narayan Adhikari.
Boro won with a margin of 84,718 against Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's Priti Rekha Barla with Congress' Narayan Adhikhari at the third position.
Mazbat is an assembly constituency in Assam's Udalguri district, part of the Darrang–Udalguri Lok Sabha constituency. This general category rural seat lies in the Bodoland Territorial Region, covering areas around Majbat town with a mix of Bodo, Adivasi, and other communities focused on agriculture.
BOPF's Charan Boro won decisively in 2021 with 54,409 votes (42per cent share) and a 16,057-vote margin over BJP's Jitu Kissan (38,352 votes, 30per cent). He repeated in 2016 with 48,351 votes over AIUDF.
