350 students participate in inter-school taekwondo championship in Noida
More than 350 students from schools across Noida and the NCR participated in the 1st Inter-School Taekwondo Championship 2025, organised by Ryan International School, Noida Extension, in association with the District Taekwondo Association, Gautam Buddha Nagar.
The championship brought together young athletes competing across multiple categories, with officials noting a significant rise in participation compared to previous district-level events. Students demonstrated key Taekwondo techniques and forms, with referees assessing performance on skill, discipline and adherence to competition rules.
According to organisers, the event aimed to promote Taekwondo as a structured sport that encourages discipline, respect and teamwork among school students. Coaches said the championship also revealed a growing talent pool in the region, with several participants showing competitive potential for higher-level tournaments.
The event concluded with prize distributions across age groups, along with addresses by association representatives who highlighted the role of martial arts in building physical fitness and mental resilience.
School authorities said plans are underway to expand the championship in the next edition by including more categories and wider inter-school participation.
