GATE 2026 Admit Card Live Update: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the organising institute for GATE 2026, is expected to announce the release date of the GATE 2026 admit card soon. Once released, the hall ticket will be made available exclusively through the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in, and candidates will be required to download it online.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026 is scheduled to be conducted over multiple days between February 7, 2026 and February 15, 2026. The admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination centre, and candidates must ensure that all details printed on it are accurate before appearing for the test.

Where and how to download the GATE admit card 2026
The GATE 2026 admit card will be hosted on the official GATE 2026 portal maintained by IIT Guwahati. Candidates will be able to access the hall ticket by logging in using their registered credentials once the download link is activated. Printed copies of the admit card will not be sent by post or email.

The hall ticket will include key information such as the candidate’s name, registration number, paper code, examination centre address, date and time of the test, photograph, signature and exam-day instructions. Candidates are required to carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre.

After downloading the GATE admit card 2026, candidates are advised to carefully check all printed details. The name of the candidate and their parents’ names should be correctly spelt. Any discrepancy in personal details could create issues during verification at the examination centre.

Candidates must also verify the paper or paper combinations selected during the application process. Since GATE allows candidates to appear for one or two test papers, the combinations mentioned on the admit card should match the application details.

The photograph and signature printed on the admit card must be clear and identical to those submitted during registration. If the photograph appears unclear or does not match the candidate, entry to the examination hall may be denied. The examination centre address, reporting time and session details should also be checked in advance.

Examination schedule and sessions
GATE 2026 will be conducted for a total of 30 test papers. The examination will be held in two sessions each day, with the forenoon session scheduled from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the afternoon session from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
