Tirupati:
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) inaugurated a first aid centre at the 7th mile intersection along the Alipiri-Tirumala pedestrian route on Sunday. This new medical centre was jointly inaugurated by TTD chairman B R Naidu, EO Anil Kumar Singhal, and additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary. According to TTD Additional EO, about 20,000-30,000 devotees trek up to Tirumala through the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu pedestrian routes every day. While the TTD already set up a first aid centre along the Srivari Mettu pedestrian route in the past, a similar first aid centre for the convenience of the devotees has now been set up along the Alipiri route.
TTD authorities appealed to the devotees who fall sick while trekking up to Tirumala to approach the first aid centre for necessary medical treatment and then proceed further with their trek.
