Visakhapatnam: The railways will introduce two weekly special trains to Tirupati and Sholapur in Maharashtra in a few weeks. A weekly special train from Anakapalle to Charlapalli (17046) was introduced. Anakapalle to Tirupati special train will start from May 8.
Hundreds of people from the Anakapalle district and its surrounding areas depend on the Tirumala Express and others. The trains passing through or originating from Visakhapatnam are very crowded, and getting tickets has become a herculean task. Keeping this in mind, the Anakapalle MP and Railway Standing Committee chairman CM Ramesh requested the railway authorities and the minister for a weekly train.
In the wake of emerging industries and also the industries and companies in the pipeline in Anakapalle district, and also for the convenience of the people from Hyderabad in Telangana, Kalaburgi in Karnataka, and Solapur in Maharashtra, this weekly train from Anakapalle to Solapur would cater to the needs of the public.
