Man kills wife over infidelity suspicion in Krishna district

Vijayawada: A man, with the aid of his brothers, hit his wife to death with an iron rod on suspicion of infidelity. The incident took place at the residence of the victim, D Lakshmi Prasanna (30) at Chowadrypeta in Pamarru town of Krishna district, where the deceased was residing with her paramour.According to Pamarru SI K Srinivas, the main accused and the woman's husband, identified as T Murali Krishna (40) along with three others, arrived at Prasanna's residence in Chowdarypeta and hit her on her head with an iron rod, leading to her instantaneous death in front of her two children.On learning about the incident, the Pamarru police arrived at the spot and shifted the deceased body to a local govt hospital and reportedly took the accused into police custody.The preliminary probe conducted by the police revealed that the deceased woman had moved out of her husband's place in Nuzvidu along with her two children and was staying with her paramour for the past five months. A case was registered and a probe is underway.
