The arrested individuals were identified as Kaushik Reddy from Poranki, Dandu Achyut from Yanamalakuduru, Sai Hemanth from Sunnapubattila Centre in Vijayawada, and Sai Vivek from Tadigadapa. Following their arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Machavaram police station for further investigation.Preliminary enquiries revealed that the accused allegedly procured MDMA from Bengaluru and transported it to Vijayawada, where it was sold to local users. Police suspect that the arrested youths were part of a larger distribution network supplying synthetic drugs in the region.Meanwhile, the EAGLE wing of Andhra Pradesh Police also stepped in and launched a detailed probe to trace the source of the drug supply and identify the larger network behind the trafficking of narcotics into the city.
Officials said investigators were examining the accused's contacts, financial transactions, and travel patterns to uncover the supply chain. Police believe the arrests could help expose a wider drug racket operating between Bengaluru and Vijayawada.
