Bollywood actor Darsheel Safary has officially joined the cast of an upcoming cross-border international feature film and the project will also star Mohit Raina and Priyamani in key roles. The yet-untitled film is being positioned as an Indo-U.S immigrant family drama and will explore themes of identity, belonging, and emotional resilience and its marks the first on-screen collaboration between Mohit Raina and the 'Jawan' actress Priyamani.

Speaking about his involvement in the project, Darsheel Safary told IANS that the script had a strong emotional impact on him, "This story moved me deeply. The yet-to-be-titled film is currently in advanced pre-production and principal photography is scheduled to begin later this year. Filming will take place across multiple locations in the United States and India with schedule that includes shoots in New York and New Jersey, along with Indian locations such as Delhi and Jammu-Kashmir. For Darsheel Safary, the actor first gained widespread recognition with Taare Zameen Par, the 2007 film starring and directed by Aamir Khan.He later appeared in films such as 'Zokkomon' and 'Bumm Bumm Bole' but majority of those films failed to shine as much as his debut movie.
