9-day radio drama fest begins on Sun

T'puram: The ‘All Kerala Radio Drama Festival 2026', jointly organized by Akashvani Kerala stations, will be held from May 10 to 18. This nine-day auditory feast will feature prominent stars from Malayalam film and theatre industry. The highlight of this year's festival is the presence of the legendary actor Mohanlal. For the first time since receiving Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Mohanlal will be lending his voice to a radio drama. He will be providing the voice for dramas from the Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi stations, marking his return to the audience after a long hiatus. Notably, Mohanlal will also play the central character in both the opening and closing plays of the festival. The dramas will be aired every day at 9.30pm from May 10 to 18, with a repeat broadcast the following day at 1pm.
