Two injured after container catches fire after touching 11,000-volt wire in Dumka

Dumka: A container truck, laden with biscuits, went up in flames after touching an overhead high-tension wire near Kushchira Bypass under Gopikandar police station limits on Monday. The truck’s driver Kishore Kumar and his helper Alam escaped with minor burn injuries as the cabin was completely gutted. The container was travelling from Raipur in Chhattisgarh to Siliguri in West Bengal. Two fire tenders and a water tanker controlled the blaze.
